Operating out of Melbourne, Florida, Brian Abergel is a skilled civil litigator who has built experience and expertise working in areas that include construction litigation, insurance defense, real estate law, and commercial litigation, among other areas of the legal industry.

For well over a year, Brian Abergel has been a Partner with Turner Peacock and Abergel, working in civil and commercial litigation, construction litigation, and real estate litigation. His firms have seen much success and growth opportunities. Prior to joining the legal firm at TPA Law, Brian worked with several large and boutique law firms in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami area. While a practicing litigator, Brian also tried multiple matters before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, trying numerous cases at the state level. 

Throughout his career, Brian has had numerous opportunities to represent clients on a number of cases. His clients have varied in status but have each been impressed with Brian’s apparent level of expertise in his field and his approach to his profession. He has managed caseloads of over 100 clients at a time, showcasing his ability to stay organized in a sometimes hectic field. In addition to Brian’s past career highlights, he also has worked as an in-house counsel for a world leader in digital printing and finishing equipment during its transition to a publicly-traded company listed on the NYSE Alternext Paris.

Professionally, Brian Abergel holds associations with several organizations. He was admitted to the Federal Court of the Middle and Southern District of Florida, and he has also served as Deputy-Chair of the Federal Bar Association’s Corporate and Association Counsel Division. Additionally, he has been published in the Federal Bar Journal. Brian continues to look for professional opportunities outside of his daily schedule that allow him to contribute to the greater good and exercise his legal services.

Brian Abergel built the foundation of his career, beginning at the University of Florida, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2010. Additionally, from 2009 to 2010, he studied at Sciences Po, a highly selective, world-class research university with international accreditation whose merit is based on its values of excellence and openness. As a student at Sciences Po, located in Paris, France, Brian studied in the Political Science and Globalization International Program. 

After completing his work with Science Po and the University of Florida, Brian Abergel enrolled at the University of Miami School of Law in 2011. While a student, he was a member of the International and Comparative Law Review, where he honed his litigation skills, served as President of the Jewish Law Students Association, and he was the Vice President of the Business and Corporate Law Society. Brian was also the recipient of the Legal Communication and Research Outstanding Oralist Award. Serving in these numerous capacities was an important goal for Brian, who was able to advance in his career due to the committed approach he took in his educational years. Brian encourages other aspiring legal professionals to participate in organizations and internships that will grow their skills throughout law school and deliver them into the workforce with real-world experience. This preparation played a crucial role in Brian’s career development.

Additionally, Brian Abergel is a multitalented individual and an active member of the Chabad Jewish Community where he lives. He loves being a dad and giving back to his neighborhood and region. Philanthropy is a large passion of Brian’s, and he enjoys serving in various capacities. Brian is bilingual, fluent in both English and French, and he has also played rugby while attending undergrad at the University of Florida. In his free time, Brian enjoys playing golf at one of the many courses offered throughout the state of Florida. He finds this relaxing pastime to be a healthy escape when he is in need of some work-life balance. Other leisure hobbies that Brian enjoys include tennis and watersports.
